OMBLIGO UBICUO
Ombligo Ubicuo
is a deck of 62 cards for individual and collective dreaming, oracle reading and games.
It is a flexible resource for all ages, open to creative interpretation and experimentation. It is a therapeutic tool, a catalyst for conversations, a library of dreaming seeds and games, and a portal to wherever your imagination leads you.
The deck
is composed of three sections: Transformation, Regeneration, and Birth. The cards in each section contain images and messages related to these processes.
Transformation
Regeneration
Birth
The guide
proposes possible ways to work with the cards through dreams, writing, drawing, storytelling, and body-based practices, as well as spreads and interpretations for oracle-style readings.
The map
is a symbolic representation of each of the sections of the deck: feet that walk through the waters of change (Transformation), hands that nurture and sow life (Regeneration), the butterfly as the climax of metamorphosis (Birth), and the tree as a bridge that connects all of these processes (the deck as a whole).

1:1 SESSIONS
Dreaming is innate and primordial. It connects us to ancestral memory, collective imagination, and uncharted experience.
Sessions with Ombligo Ubicuo use dream language and dream-states as a medium to see, feel, and explore creatively beyond what is known and habitual.
We begin with a conversation to get oriented in your moment and intention. We pull cards from the deck and, using them as guides, we follow the path that unfolds before us, dialoguing along the way. We close with a reflection on the landscape we’ve traversed and what has emerged.
After the session, you will receive personalized creative/dreaming exercises to deepen and explore what came up during our time together.
A session can be a space to:
- Process an important moment or a challenging situation
- Connect with your dreams
- Open new creative processes or deepen ones already in progress
- Discover what messages the cards offer, without any specific intention
Multiple sessions
Multiple sessions are a way to accompany your process over time. This exploration is deepened and honed each time we meet as new developments arise.

ABOUT
Origin
In 2018, I was having particularly vivid and intense dreams, and I painted the cards of Ombligo Ubicuo as a record of the ones that most caught my attention. At that time, we were sharing our dreaming processes often among friends, and the cards became increasingly generative and communal, nourished by curiosity, conversation, and presence. Excited by what was happening, I wondered what it would be like to create a “dream-deck” to discover how my dreams could be used collectively.
In 2024, after about six years of experimentation with the cards, the deck took shape as a small edition printed in Spanish and English, and began circulating through various contexts. Now, in its second edition—greater in quantity and trilingual, with a Portuguese printing—the deck has maintained the same physical form, but its uses remain in a state of constant evolution and change, thanks to the creativity of those who venture to play with it.
Root
Our primordial source of nourishment and connection (ombligo, navel)
Is everywhere (ubicuo, ubiquitous)
The title of the deck, Ombligo Ubicuo, like all the cards, was born from a dream. It refers to the navel of a body that is both individual and communal—a vital center that lives in each of us and, at the same time, in our relationships and in the world.
In times marked by systems that divide and marginalize, the many worlds of dreams remain fertile, diverse, interconnected, and boundless.
How can we continue to care for and enjoy the living, vast territories of our dreaming?
May this question remain open and active, and may Ombligo Ubicuo be one of many invitations to keep playing and dreaming together.

Ombligo Ubicuo was created by Jesse Cohen, a visual artist originally from New York and based in Mexico City.
For several years, Jesse has dedicated herself to researching different methods of dreaming and drawing from dreams. Her explorations encompass introspective processes as well as playful and collaborative investigations, and focus on experimenting with dreaming and imagination as creative means for connecting with ourselves, with others, and for opening portals in everyday life to discovery and wonder.
Ombligo Ubicuo is part of a series of editorial projects that seek to create collective spaces of transformation, connection, and creative curiosity through dreaming, play, and drawing.
